There were some safety concerns that came up. We had a very strong showing last year, that it made some oversights more obvious. The con's exploring alternative options, but this year might not be well suited to hold a parade without causing more problems.

I mean.. most cons have a kinda condensed area for photos but there was alot of miscommunication with furpoc last year. Apparently there was two different group photos. Half the people that were crowding to get into the first one were told to leave while they took a second photo and kept that one

If they wanted to keep the parade then they can make use of the area in front of the main lobby. Theres an oval drive in thing? (No clue what those are called). Could have photographers lined up outside while the parade goes out, around that circle, and then back inside

I'm unhappy with the scheduling this yr... (Just the music parts)
Im gonna put this as nicest a way possible cause I certainly don't hate anyone for this I like everyone, But im a bit disappointed this yr.. I'm not on staff so I dont have much a voice amd im used to not being not heard but I like to be transparent...

1. My biggest complaint is still no masquerade and fursuit parade and id rather go for the day knowing there's a performance panel at all since many of us work hard.for performing practicing music or writing up the act ..
No masquarade that should of been my first red flag.. It sorta was actually.. Many were.looking forwards to it like any other Talent show for musician and acting furs, but this was A Halloween costume themed contest as well which makes it a special Halloween treat for fursuit builders.

Me and my fiance have noticed the dance comp takes up a huge amount of time on Saturday night..... And were not sure why the masquerade can't have a small time slot one night.

And its nothing against others that are more athletic types or.thats their thing hecc my cousin does Mountaineering she even climbed Mt adams and Mt rainier.. Kudos but not my thing.
I sorta envy you can dance and do excersie so well ๐Ÿ˜…but I usually dont go To the dance.comps even to.watch no offense..

But Im not and never have been the athletic type so Like in high school you have your athletes (dancer furs) and your musical and art furs (singing and acts routine furs) Im hoping like in some highschools you don't permanently cut the Masquerade program (music program)... And this this was just an off yr...

... and I miss out sunday being there.

Plz dont hate me *hides* just don't wanna see Furpocalypse end up like the huge cons that axe talent shows in favor of dance comps only and room parties... I heard AC was disappointing from many music furs cause no talent show or karaoke

I just hope its still a WIP The schedule

All very good points, I agree with what you said in the above statements. But every con is different and some are changing the schedule for other things and some are doing away with the parade for their own reasons but on the website of furpoc it does say if you click events....a fursuit parade!!! I can't be the only one who wants to have a parade and see that the online website is not a liar. Please understand where some of us are coming from and please don't hate me for what my opinions are either ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

I can't speak for Furpoc specifically, but as a staffer for other conventions, one thing I can say is that for events to take place, someone needs to actually step up and organise them. So if there's no masquerade, it might just be that there was nobody to run it.
